headaches

i just started tx last thurs. i have basically had a headache since friday on and off and pretty much continually since late sun. afternoon. is this normal? i took tylenol a few times, didn't work well. i know i have read that alot of people have headaches. any good ideas for tx of them? i even broke down and took a 7.5mg percocet and it helped some, but i can still feel it. i am drinking lots of water. like 1/2 my body weight in oz, is this right? the nausea is on and off and i have acid reflux(?) food does not sound too great, but someone posted in the hcv community forum about taco bell and it's starting to sound ok. i went to the grocery store this morning and almost puked just looking at food. do these sx usually come on so soon into tx? thanks for your help, yet again.

The food sides come and go but if it's started already then you are probably like the group of us that is just not attracted to anything the entire time.  You have to figure out ANYTHING at all that you can eat and go for it. For most of treatment I just ate cereal or a bagel at night. Something to just shove in because face it - you have to eat. Yogurt smoothie in the morning to have something with my ribas cause you have to eat something with them.

Ice cream appealed to me greatly and so I ate that. I ate cookies when I could cause they always seem to slide on down.

But gone are the days of thinking "Man I'd LOVE a big swisscheeseburger and onion rings" or something like that. I can't WAIT for hunger pains again I really can't! To WANT to eat!

Headaches do come and go.  Some can also be "stress" type like regular old headaches (look how much we have added on in ADDITION to the meds now).  I've found that a heating pad and two advils works wonders. If I don't use the heating pad it doesn't help me nearly as much. I get my "headaches" in the back of my neck though - Just thought it might be worth mentionning to you if you've tried everything else.

thanks. i had been taking tylenol, but i was afraid to take the advil since i had tylenol in me. i guess i'll wait till the next dosing time and try advil. i have read so much controversy on the advil, tylenol thing that i wasn't sure which to use. advil always worked better for me. i haven't tried the heat pad, but the shower did feel good on my head. have to put the heating pad on my list of tx aids to buy.

OWWW! sorry to hear that. mine has kind of been hanging around, then worsens, then eases up some, etc. i think i would rather have the body aches than the headaches, but at this point i just keep telling myself, it will pass. and it's only been 4 days.
