Recommendation for Doctor

I treated for HCV in 2007 and live in SW Florida, Sarasota area.  I recently found out that an old high school friend of mine, her husband has HCV and while I recommended my doctor, found out that my doctor is on a medical leave for 3 to 4 months.   So, I want to recommend a doctor but do not know who.     Is there anyone living in the area from Fort Myers to Tampa, Florida that can be recommended.    Sarasota/Bradenton area would be the best for them due to travel reasons.    Any suggestions much appreciated.

I treat in Tampa @ "Lifelink" Institute.. they even do transplants there...the hemotologists is Dr. Alfredo Mendoza...excellant in Hep C care...his ARNP is Deborah Wahler, who cares for all the HEP C patients and was responsible for all Liver transplant patients...their # is [phone]...

I had good results by having a consultation with a University liverhead who worked with my GI tx doc to work out a second treament plan.  I went to Miami, but there ar other liverheads closer to you, Dr. Nelson at UF's Shands Clinic (Gainesville) is one.  In addition, there are several other forum member in your neck of the wood, with varying degrees of success: Dperry (around tampa somewhere) SJL (in the middle somewhere) Susan400 (middle right) and several others.  Stay tuned to this thread you may hear from others too.
