Lot's of Muscular and Skelatal Aches and Pains

I have so many aches and pains, I believe a lot of them are from the Neuprogen but I've had them even before I started that drug.  The one thing that concerns me is the aches and pains in my stomach and ribcage area.  When I yawn, sigh, cough, take a deep breath, it feels as if someone punched me in the stomach or abdomen.  Is this happening to anyone else out there on treatment?  My doctor says she's not concerned and that's it's most likely one of the side effects of treatment.

I also get a lot of leg cramps, especially at night.  Some nights, they wake me up out of a sound sleep to the point where I have to jump out of bed yelling from the pain.  It's horrible!  I guess I'd just like to know that after I finish treatment, this will all go away.

I'm just venting here and hoping to read that there are other's that are going through the same things.

Many thanks!
Linda

Leg cramps are caused by dehydration.

Try loading more water during the day.  I always despised those people who carried those stupid water bottles constantly about 5 years ago and now I'm one of them!

The month after I started a study drug (boceprevir) I had the most bizarre brief sharp pains.  In my shins and behind my ears.  They went away.  It may just be your body complaining.  Sorry you are one of the reactors to the rescue drugs.  Beats the alternative, though.

Oh I can so relate to your waking up the dead, my husband jumps startled thinking that someone is killing me....*lol*   I never minded the Pegasys shot at all but the Neupogen shot is horrible, I did it last night and it burned like crazy.  The Procrit is no bargain either, my thighs and stomach are all black and blue from all these shots.

Last week, for the first time since I started treatment, I had blood come into the syringe.  I took it out and went in another place but it was hard to tell if blood came in that time due the blood already in there.  Yes, this is a lot of fun!

Thank Trin for responding, it's good to know that I'm not alone with these horrific cramps!

Don't have the ribcage area pain but can certainly relate to the leg cramps and bone pain.
Neup can be some nasty stuff.  Last week woke up in the middle of the night and both legs and feet were in spasms.  My big toe was pointing downward and the other toes were sticking straight up.  I woke up the dead yelling.
