Got the shot. $287 on the VISA card. They said I should be able to get that back from BCBS, just gottta go thru the process. Thanks for putting up with my antics guys! jerry
Good luck! I hope it will all work out well for you. Gee, it's 4.30 am, am off to bed now. I'm turning into a nocturnal animal. Awake all night, asleep all day.
Nite, Marcia
If all she had to do was drop it in an envelope and send it I would be willing to ask but it would have to be packed in dry ice a complecated and time consuming task. She works and has a family, I'ld rather take that reponsibility myself.I'll save those kind of favors for truly desperate situations. I think in a city as large as Atlanta I will be able to run down a shot. thanks for the concern, jerry
But you could also pm mommaglow and ask her to overnight it to you... and pay for the shipment upon arrival.
These guys are a JOKE! I have been run around all day and here it is , 5 o'clock and they can't deliver after all. They have tied me up to the point now that it is too late for me to take action on my own, today. I should have just grabbed my VISA, went by the Drs, got the script and went out and fended for myself! That is just what I'm gonna do tommorrow, if I can manage. What's another $250 gonna matter at this point? If ya want something done right----etc!
Marsha and Trinity
way to go girls!!
Orleans, good luck and please let us know the outcome. I am Very interested in how this is handled. God bless.

When I finish in a few weeks I will have left over meds. I have been lucky and have had everything paid for by work-comp since I contracted this by a needle stick at work, but I know how expensive they are I would like to donate them to anyone who is strugling with paying. I have neupo, procrit, and peg-interferon. I will ship it to anyone who needs it.
I couldn't find it, but I remember it being about a week ago, but it was posted on another thread and my memory sukks big time.
btw: I didn't have to do anything...my NP called it in. I hope it all works for you as easily as it did for me.
I imagine if I could get an overnight shipment of neupogen from my insurance co.who no longer pays for my meds....(Aetna Pharmacy). BCBS will most likely do the same.
Wish you the best.
You should call your doctors office and see if they have a shot for neupogen right there..
When my RBC was low and they told me I would have to wait and wait ..I said don't you guys have Procrit there...well ...believe it or not ..they did!! dummies...
So--ask and maybe you shall receive...
Good luck and let us know how it works out..

Your doctor's office should be able to get it for you immediately. If they won't do their job, start calling those'800' #s on the back of your BCBS card.
I remember someone posting that they had some left over meds, asking if anyone needed some. I don't remember if they had neup though. I'll try check some of the posts.
My doc had my Procrit ok'd the morning I saw him and my hgb was low, it came shipped overnight to my house. I did the shot the following day.
I never had a written script for any of my rescue meds I needed during tx.
The office handled all of that for me. Make them do their job for you too.
If they want you to have a shot pronto, then they should give you a shot at the office
until you get your's delivered or send you to a hemotologist.
It'll all work out - feel better
