itching after incivek
Okay so this is only day 1 off of incviek but I am itching like crazy. I have used Aveeno lotion and that doesn't seem to be helping me at all. I seem to be feeling better all around but this itching is insane. I'm just wondering if anyone out there has had the same issues. I know its only day one off and I am bound to have some kind of side affects from the riba. So my question is this, will this cont. or will it stop?

the ribas also can make you itch.....post incivek my itching was still bad...my rash got different looking...i itched till 6 weeks post tx although about 3 weeks post tx the itching wasn't as bad.....i would be careful and try not to add too much other stuff to the tx mix....just in case one thing blocks another....i would sit on the edge of the bed many times each night on tx then lay down..then sit up...this was every night......it was awful but worth it...nothing seemed to help...hang in there...billy
The itching got out of control last night and today. I haven't slept a wink yet. Called the dr and got a script for atarax hopefully this will work. I have been using cold packs, cold cloths, aveeno, Benadryl nothing has seemed to work so far. I pray this stops!
Hey there, at some point it will stop however there are things you can try. NYGirl and others swear by Gold Bond. I used benedryl and when that did not work I tried cold wash cloths I had frozen in the freezer to numb the nerves, that helped some. Then my doctor gave me a prescription of Atarax
It will get better though at the time it doesn't feel like it. Some have also tried oat mean baths.

If you can take an oral anithistmine, such as benadryl, it might help. Also, benadryl cream rubbed wherever you are feeling itchy is also a help. Those two things seemed to help me the most.
