No one has mentioned the assistance programs from the drug manufacturers. I don't know the sites where you go to apply but perhaps someone else will chime in.
Hi meetman I went to the American Liver Foundation web site for you-ALF in the left hand side put in your diagnosis Hep C then you will be asked to scroll down to your state. There is a study in North Carolina now Recruiting to treat Hep C-it is free-the criteria is age 21 to 65 their phone number is area code 404-727-8229. I hope this information will help you and good luck! franke566
I just completed tx through a clinical trial at Duke. I know that's quite a drive for you, but I'll tell you my care at the Hepatology Clinic there has been awesome! I don't know if any other NC hospitals, besides Duke and Chapel Hill, are involved in trials.
Do look up the clinicaltrials.gov site and I think you can narrow it down to your state. You can also go to Duke's website and they list ongoing current clinical trials by the disease. They'll tell you if they're recruiting for the trials. Let me know if you have other questions. Best of luck!

Surely NC has a Charity Hospital System. What did your doctor tell you after your test came back positive? Contact the American Liver Foundation and the CDC and they will hook you up in your area. You need to see a Hepatologist and have a Hepatimax test to find out your viral load. You cannot just sit on this. Best of luck.
check out "clinicaltrials.gov" for trials in your area. good luck
