What sort of pain do you have in your feet? Is it accompanied by significant swelling? Do you have Hep C?

Yes, I have Hep C since 2006. I am waiting for the new drugs advised by my doctors. No swelling. Same pain as I have in my legs more intense.

If you've had hep c since 2006 it's unlikely that you would have any damage or symptoms from the virus. If you found out in 2006 and have had it longer, then that's a different story.

I've had the pain that you're talking about, but mine starts in my lower back and goes to the bottom of my feet. I take 2 Ibuprofen at the first sign of it coming on, and within 20 minutes I forget it was there. If I don't take it right away though... that's a different story all together. Sometimes I wind up having to lay down for up to an hour before it lets up enough for me to move around.
BTW, I had this before starting tx, but it is much worse now so get some Ibuprofen and keep it near you at all times and life will be much less painful.

That's my experience anyhow.

Just so you know there is nothing dormant about hepc.  It is always an active virus once you have it. Have you had a biopsy to determine how much liver damage you have? I've never really heard of foot pain before and I've been here a long time.  Leg cramps yes, is that what you mean?  If so try drinking tonic water - believe it or not it helped me greatly with the leg cramps.

foot pain where, heel, arch or by the toes.  Forget the NASIDS try rolling a tennis ball around with your foot while you are sitting.  Many chiro's want one to use ice instead of heat.

Tonic water works great for my hubby's charley horses and no he does not have hep c

yes quinine which is in tonic water has been used for leg cramps and restless leg syndrome for a long time.

I have frequent pain in the small bones of the feet. Doc says this is a very common symptom. Until you knock the virus out, there's not much that can be done.

Pain reliever, perhaps a good hot soak... not much else.
