liver enzyme
Hi does anyone have any info on a liver enzyme known as CK or CPK..thanks any info is greatly appreciated..
A CPK is a blood test that measures creatine phosphokinase (CPK), an enzyme found predominantly in the heart, brain, and skeletal muscle. When the total CPK level is substantially elevated, it usually indicates injury or stress to one or more of these areas.
thanks for info..so if my CPK level is 1500-1800, your best guess is something heart, brain or muscle related. There were numerous tests done and the only thing they keep coming up with is this elevated CPK. they thought LOU Gerig disease but ruled that out...thanks for your time...
