I just had my 8th shot and my labs started to tank week 4-6. I had to take some rescue drugs a couple shots of Procrit and Neupogen. In a recent post I have them listed. TSH is the Thyroid I believe and I had problems with that before TX. I had to get it stabilized before starting just to have it go out of whack again as I knew it would. From what I read that is common also. Just stay on top of your labs with your provider. Hopefully you are getting seen often. I am still going every 2 weeks for labs and have been referred to an Endocrinologist for the Thyroid. Take good care of yourself and get plenty of rest.
Your neutrophils are very low, they should be over 1000. You should ask your doctor about nuepogen to raise you wbc. D not let them lower your dose because of your blood count.
Thks for the informative post - I always wondered where the ANC came from and can now put it in my chart :-)
WBC 2.2 low (Normal is 4.5 - 10.5)
RBC 3.30 low (Normal 3.86-5.18)
Platelet 133 low (Normal 140-440)
Neutrophils 528? Don't know about that (normal is 47-75)
eosinophils 2 normal (0.5-7.8
Don't know about the TSH
Looks like your numbers are doing the usual trip downstairs but not critical at this point. ANC is important (absolute neutrophils) which is calculated neutrophils x WBC. That is why I don't understand you neutrophil number - too high. If ANC is too low - neupogen is in order. If RBC drops too low - procrit. Low platelets - not much you can do for that. Has your doctor discussed any rescue drugs if numbers keep dropping? I had peg reduction at week 9. ANC went to 600 but came back up so no rescues and resumed full dosage. Hopefully, your doctor is keeping a good eye on your numbers but most of us experience the drops - very unpredictable.
