No prob. YEs a friend sent me pictures of all the signs people put up on their homes and where their homes used to be, made my skin crawl that so many people have such wonderful hopes and spirits.
I am worn out! I am so glad we had a time change because it's after ten now and I can justify going to bed! It's been a big day, really pushed myself and got a WONDERFUL surprise. My big sissy got a wild hair and jumped in her car and drove in from Ft. Worth. It was really cool because I had my brother here and we just laughed and ate and laughed some more! She is such a HOOT! So anyway she just took brother home and is going to stay over there tonight which is FINE w/me! I want to go to bed!
I will check w/my coordinators my next trip to the med center as to what precautions I should take if any. How did you manage your meds and stuff with no electricity? Just starting tx and having that happen is a horror story in itself! You are so lucky you were able to keep up!
Have a great week, we will chat again.
Later,
Fisheress
The MS coast is full of stories of horror, but there is also alot of hope, laughter, and strength of will, too. I had just started treatment (2 weeks) when it hit. I was working 60 hour weeks during initial hurricane, and I got the anemia 2 weeks after it hit. Probably because I wasn't taking care of myself. No a/c for a week didn't help either.
The main symptom I got around the mold is a chronic, raspy cough. I have had a round of antibiotics which made it better, but I still have it. NP says it is the meds keeping it (a side of the riba), but the mold kicked it off. You may want to ask your doctor about the best precautions to take. Maybe paper masks when your in a real damaged area? I really think you should see it - I went there and New Orleans, treatment or not. Too big an event in my life not to see ground 0 Sorry for delay in answering you, but I went and played outside!
Rocker, as always you know how to start a Sunday morning! Thank you so much for your Sunday prayers.
How is everyone this morning? Don't for get to turn your clocks forward if you didn't already. May your sides be light and your day bright!
Please do post the info. I am on my way outside to play in the yard! Already in the 70's this morning, and it just doesn't get better than that.
Thank you! Wonderful words to start this Sunday. :) Hope everyone enjoys the day! Dragging a bit here, but I'm sure I will enjoy the extra daylight :) Hope you all do too!
Just want to say good morning to you Rocker and as always TY for the prayer. I've already printed it out and stuck it to my frig! Glad you are feeling well today, hope everyday from here on out is feel good day for ya!
OnAPrettyPoison, yes, great day to play in the yard! We have hit it hard the past 3 weeks getting ready for summer. My yard boy (Rog) is out mowing as I write. Gonna head to the nursery and get some more to plant today. If there is a bare spot (even a lil one) I'm gonna plant something there :}. Already 72 here w/cloud cover, sun peaks on occasion. NICe day! Where are you? I'm in Seabrook, Texas, 1/2 way between Houston & Galveston on Galveston Bay.
Wonderful day to everyone!

Oh such a pretty day to play in the yard. Not trying to rub it in there our we? So whats your favorite game outside to play? For me its hide and seek, and playing in my treehouse.
Plano is quite N. of here but they are having some pretty weather there to. It's almost 80 now. I have been outside playing in the yard and want despertly to head to the plant nursery but I ALWAYS feel a nap come on about this time and it just pisses me off cause I could be out doing stuff. Brother wants to get out today and come over and hang out. Got to get that nap in 1st before I go get him. I am going to put some baby backs on the grill, cooked up a pot of some yummy pinto's last nite and going to make a potato salad. (sounds like work!) One week from Wed. is surgery date for him! YEA!
Other than my sleepyness, yes always in good spirits, just smile when the pain comes, take 2 motrin and go on about myself.
Good day to all and stay warm Rocker!
I am so glad you weathered the storm well, not many were very fortunate. Oh I know about the chicken thing! My friend Henry whom was living in a VA house in Gulfport was washed away w/the house and layed under 6' of debris including raw chicken. The rescue dogs finally found him on 3rd day. Now tell me, how can those dogs smell out a live human over 3 days of rotten chicken? eeeeeewwwww is right! Don't think chicken is on his menu in the rest of his lifetime! Just glad he and my family survived, it was 3 days before someone came thru w/a cell phone that worked when they called. Dad lives on back back, brother on the point down by Ocean Springs bridge. Bud (who is here) lived in the apts on Hwy 90 that had the most cluster of deaths in 1 place 30 people). Thank god he got out of there! He went to my other brothers house on the point and they ended up w/ski jackets on and swimming out of the house and spending 2 nights in the outside attic!
So many horror stories to tell! So you think I could have a prob being there 2-3 days with the black mold? Think I should not go or if I do, what precautions shold I take? I want to see my family soooooo bad and they are afraid to leave their homes for an extended period of time due to looters.
Off to the nursery and pick bro up....will check back when I return.

Playing in the yard right now before summer just really consist of getting out the leaf blower and watching my Westie (monster dog) go nuts over it! And of course doing all the spring cleaning (just did a good clean-up on the pool potty room).
Now once we are in the pool this summer (still a chill in the water right now) thats a different story. Can't share play time with ya on that one! Lets just say there are swim suits floating around! hehehehe
Oh girl friend! Where in Ms? I am from Biloxi, still have my father there, 2 brothers a nephew & family and my other brother that left there with nothing 4 days after Katrina that is here now.
We are going to make our 1st trip back over there for a visit about 6 weeks after Brothers hip replacement surgery in 10 days. Gonna be a reality check!!!!!
Hope you were not directly on the coast as they were and are. Let me know.

I've been so happy ever since i got the news from you i got the job i've been running in cirles trying to catch my tail.
Well if you are chasing your tail, you and my Tiki monster dog will get along just fine! Lately one of her favorite pass times since I won't let her in the pool yet! It's driving her crazy! She can't wait for pool time either! LOL!
As long as you understand im there for the two legged animals, couse be and Tiki can bury bones and see who can bark the loudest.
I live outside Jackson. Katrina dropped from a category 2 to a 1 right when it blew thru here. I have rode a few hurricanes out, some down in Gulfport/Biloxi, but never one like that - it went on and on for hours and hours. You won't believe the coast when you come. Pictures don't do it justice, words can't describe it. Be careful going down there on treatment. The black mold is almost a part of the air. I have to tell this, but I have good friends that live in Gulfport, and they rode it out with other friends in Diamondhead. When they went to check their home, which was gone, they found 18 wheelers from the port all over the neighborhood. One had dumped out 3 tons of chicken parts everywhere. EWW! There were definite bio-hazards around there!
I hope your brother does well with his surgery. You do need to come see it if you can.
It is now 80 out there with a nice bright sun. Fisheress, I wish I had a yard boy - I am the sole yard girl which just plain isn't fun on treatment. Love planting and flower beds, hate the grass cutting and weed eating. I am over in Mississippi, where our new welcome signs say "Thanks Y'all" for all the help with the hurricane!
I had a torn meniscus and I had orthoscopic surgery a few months before tx. I would say (I am NO Dr.) that the tear is from some sort of injury, mine was even though I could not pin point when it happened. It can be torn and as time goes on it continues to iratate the area which also increases the discomfort (pain). The surgery worked great for me, the knee feels like new!
Brain dead, also:) can't spell meniscus.Another thought could this be related to the virus?
