incivek/victrellis status with new drugs coming out

What has or will become of the incivek and victrelis drugs.  That was a short life span for use May of 2011 to 2014?

Yes, I have to say that is the sickest I have ever been in my life on the incivek.  I had just about every negative side effect. {But I also had the one good sx and that was svr.}   being a CT allele I needed the 3x push.  It is too bad I could not of have had more confidence about waiting to start tx.  Even two years ago there was only speculation about when and if any new drugs would be out.   Not knowing how fast my liver disease would progress, being able to get in on the dosing trial, not knowing wether i would have health insurance in the future,  and the state of my fairly good health at the time, it was a good decision.  I have no regrets.  Just So glad the memory of that nightmare is fading.  This forum kept me going.  pretty soon no one will need a forum about HCV.  It will be a slam dunk!

Hi, I didn't relapse.  Never quite got to UND & after 12 weeks my viral load shot back up.  So we stopped treatment.

12 weeks of pure hell on earth!  Then Sir Gilead came & rescued me!  Yay!!!!

Having gone through that terrible treatment only to relapse, I'm sure you appreciate being cured now even more.

All the best,

Ahhhh yes, the dreaded fat intake.  (My doc didn't tell me that when we were choosing meds.)  Yech!  The gagging!  The *** burning!  The brain fog!

Oh my... it was a BAD time for me!

I laughed when I read your post. I could not have said it better...
Just too difficult a treatment for those who have advanced cirrhosis.
I know some were cured with it so that's a good thing but with the new treatments coming out with far fewer side effects, there is no reason to go through such a difficult treatment.  I remember well trying to get my husband to eat  the "fat" with the Incivik....a horror story for us.
