I'm glad to hear you are feeling better, and keep up the good work.
The Triple Treatment has only been approved since May 2011, and for this reason, we dont have long term stats yet.
Thank you for this warning. It is important for people to realize just how
hard on the health, these meds are,  on our systems.
People who have other co-existing health problems, and are older, have an extra risk.
Thank you for keeping us posted, and my thoughts and prayers are with
you~

I am so sorry for what you are experiencing.  This is awful!  I have heard of one other person who had a terrible time, fainting, unable to talk, etc for years after treating.
She did use the original tx back 10 years ago.  Her husband came on here looking for help
I believe it is one of the longest threads on here with over 550 posts
Bless you
Dee

FDA has an "800" number to report adverse events. The number is on their website at www.fda.gov.

Hi I am on my phone right now so please forgive me in advance if I have mistaken you for another member. He was diagnosed with cerebellar ataxia (sp?) and asked for links. I posted one as well a journal article.
Again I am sorry this happened.

To tell you the truth I have not followed either of the PIs on the FDA site and seen if any adverse events have been reported. As I mentioned in my other post I encourage you to have as much documentation as possible about what happened and have you doctors see about submitting it to either Vertex or the FDA (I am not sure how this part of the process works).

Either way it just seems as if scrupulous documentation by medical personnel would be a real plus in mass communicating the cause and effect aspect of what happened to you.

Also I have not read the Adverse Events section in the Peg Or Teleprevir or Riba drug Monographs in quite some time so I am rusty when it comes to that.

Best of luck to you and I wish you a speedy rehabilitation.
