Quest Diagnostics lists the reference ranges as follows:

ALT (SGPT): 9-60 U/L
AST (SGOT) 10-35 U/L

Yes; you apear to be within reference range.

Tests have different ranges so you can't take the ALT and AST as absolute scores from one test to another. Usually, on your blood report it will give the normal range for that particular test and tell you whether your results fall inside or outside that range. If you didn't get that info, ask your doctor or nurse for it.

Yes,but many authorities feel that the 'normal' reference range is too wide and that a healthy level for both should be below 20.
In any event from a strictly text book viewpoint yours are not elevated.

My Alt droped to 17 after treatment, SVR. I think the "healthy" range is sub 20 or slightly over for most people, despite the texts suggesting otherwise.
