The effects are short lived. I looked into this a few years ago and what I discovered was that while it may temporarily "rid" the body of the virus it is not a long lasting solution.
In other words it is a very expensive bandaid.
Don't waste your money.
There are two main ways of ozone therapy - treatment of small and large volumes of blood with ozone. Ozone treatment leads to disinfect blood. Sustained virological response to treatment with ozone is observed in ~ 50% of cases. But in any case, the patient receives a sharp improvement in the overall health and biochemical parameters. Ozone therapy is recommended for those who are afraid of the side effects of interferon and ribavirin, as well as those who have tried interferon therapy but did not receive sustained virologic response, as well as those who have extrahepatic complications of hepatitis - chronic fatigue, reduced performance and subdepressive state of mind, etc. .. I recommend reading more about it on the site ozonetherapy.org / clinic
I tried ozone and ended up in A. & E. because the ozone machine wasn't properly set up. I have met a man who, while he didn't get rid of the virus, is no longer on the transplant list and uses the ozone far less (he had few choices with the state of his liver), and another man who it hasn't helped. My naturopath recommends it. Another Natural Health practitioner I see is against it.
It is a labour-intensive tx and I only tried it because I was 'ineligible' for a second try at SOC until or unless my liver deteriorated. The deterioration happened and I've recently completed a 6 months interferon treatment (my 2nd time tx'g); it wasn't particularly easy, but I had the support of my doctor and medical team, whose research into interferon is superior than the research into ozone.
Injecting ozone has more risk than anal or vaginal insuffilation and I would investigate thoroughly if you intend to attempt it (I wouldn't personally inject it). The general medical profession is anti-ozone, and while there is some acceptability in areas of Asia and Europe, it generally isn't accepted as a safe route to take.
ouch, gas injections sound PAINFUL like a TB test. the Pegasys INF injections don't hurt as much, but it's weekly for a length depending on your genotype
