Bruno, do you live in the U.S.? If so, the manufacturers of interferon have financial assistance programs that might help with the cost of medications:
Pegassist (Roche Pegasys system): 1-877-734-2797
Commitment to Care (Schering- Plough PEG-Intron system): 1-800-521-7157
Bill,
Do those companies only offer the assistance for people in the US, that seems so odd.

To add to bills post there is also trials that provide everything for free.
www clinicaltrials.gov.
Best to you,
cando
As far as I can tell, PAP’s are limited to U.S. residency. I don’t understand the mechanics of it all, Dave; these drugs are certainly marketed internationally. Do you suppose the price structure here somehow supports financial assistance? I’ve puzzled over this too…
Bill
grazie , to all yes i live in usa, and my insurance pay only 30 %, any idea ,?
Maybe they are forced to provide these programs by the FDA for drugs that are life saving. Perhaps they are subsidized by the government.
By all means, call the appropriate number I posted above Monday morning. The assistance programs are for uninsured, as well as underinsured. Let them know you can’t afford the copay, and hopefully they will accept you into the program. I used one of them in the past, and they paid for all the HCV meds with no charge to me.
Bill
grazie bill , for the number i will call , then i will let you know
I think the lifesaving aspect is out; have you ever looked through Needymeds?
http://www.needymeds.org/
There are PAP’s for everything up to and including Viagra. Now, depending on your definition of lifesaving….
Bill
good luck, I hope you get the assistance you need. - Dave
