sexual transmission

i have done a lot of research and have seen in several different publications that when sexual transmission occurs, it

is usually male to female, not female to male.  I would love to hear your comments.  Most of you are certainly more knowledgable than I.

sexual transmission is rare, in any case.

If a woman has herpes lesions internally that she doesn't know about it could be possible.  It would have to be an open wound.  I gave birth to two children who are both in their 20's now with no sign of HCV.  I believe I may have (probably?) been infected when I gave birth.

Mecki is right.  Sexual transmission is so low that even some in the medical community do not consider it as a form of transmission .  I have been married several times (will not say how many -HA) have two grown children and no partners or kids have this disease.  Doctors say if you have been in a long term monogamous relationship you do not have to change your sexual habits.  In this day and age if anyone has multiple sexual partners they should always use protection.

I think sexual transmission is only possible if both parties have openly bleeding wounds or cuts...

There has been sexual transmission --- but it is VERY rare.

My hubby and I have procreated in a numerous amounts of ways - during menses (grin --- don't have to worry about that no more... LOL!) and he never caught HCV even though he had a Prince Albert for a bit... and various stages of life --- ingrown hairs - etc.

I don't think this disease jumps that fast --- but it is a blood to blood disease --- so it's always possible.
