You are not yourself, you are going through a kind of chemotherapy.
Just remember, it won't last. It will pass.

Things that help are anything soothing, meditation, nice music, positive thoughts, singing in the shower, prayer. Watch comedies. Take walks. Do something to help you not dwell on the unpleasantness of how your body feels.
It's somewhat easier to take if you don't fight it, accept that for sometime you won't feel like yourself.

My nurse suggested Aveeno products. Oats are soothing for the skin. I used oatmeal soap during tx.

Some people take AD's, some use cannabis, whatever helps you get through treatment.
And remember, it will be over and you will feel better.
Good luck,
OH

I think an ad sounds like something that could help I just hate taking more pills but maybe it would help  I'll talk to the Doc this week. I'm glad your sx are getting some what better hopefully I can look forward to the same. I guess I have to wait to see if my 4 week is at 1,000 or lower to continue I will know any day.

i wonder if your on an ad...i take zoloft...started 2 months before tx...glad i did....i do shot 8 tonight....my worse time was up until 6.5 weeks...a lot of that was from bad anemia but i also had many times of thinking i couldn't continue tx..lots of pains and mental adjusting...i think you just have to get more use to being on tx...some of us have many more sx then others...and many get the same sx at different times during tx...like cando says things will most likely start to level out....thats what i'm feeling going into week8...at week 4 i was a mess in all kinds of ways....good luck....billy

" I tell my wife she should take me out back and shoot me."

Won't catch me encouraging my wife like that.... No sir, not making her day...:)

That said, for the most part things do seem to level out and before you know it its almost over, hang in there guy.......

Best to you,
cando

You can do it clyde. I had a really tough treatment and totally understand. Usually in life I believe living in the moment is a good thing, but the whole purpose of tx is to live in another moment. You have to resign yourself to feeling like $hit, lie down when you need to and don't fight it. Get help when you can from docs and meds and us and family and keep your eye on the prize (better health).

Hi I'm doing the shots in my stomach but I don't know if it's because of the shot or the pills Everything does seem to get worse after the shot my best day is Thursday I think the peg probably wears off a bit then it starts all over again.

Do you get ichy my scalp has little bumps and it's real itchy. I don't know how I am going to do this for 6 months i am totally not myself. I can't belaive others have done this a few times before the triple tx. They are an insperation to me I tell my wife she should take me out back and shoot me. It's rough on the family to see us like this too, I just hope it gets better I am waiting for my viral load for 4 weeks should come in any day now.

Sorry to everyone I feel like an idiot thanks for responding I am not myself lately good luck to all!!!

Clyde,  Question for you.  Did your leg pain begin after your peg shot?  Was it in the leg where you did your shot?

Sometimes you have to be a little patient to recieve a response ...especially on weekends..also your question as you can see above ..is not something very common that all have experienced.

A feeling of deep (bone type pain) has been described here by some in the legs and hips. I had it myself for awhile at the start of tx. My hepa said it was more than likely caused by the Interferon. It  went away after a few weeks  and others have said the same ..it seems to dissipate after awhile.

As far as the kidney problem..you proly did not get much of a response there..as many ..including my self ddi not have that issue..  that would best be discussed with your doctor and if  who is treating y you is not familiar with that ..then a referral to a urologist may be in order.
Have you had a creatinine level and creatinine clearance test done..lately to ascertain kidney function?

Best

Hey Clyde, I haven't gone through treatment yet so I can't tell you from any experience.
I did type in the search engine at the top of the page leg pain from tx. There are some people who have asked the same thing and they were discussing it at that time. Type that in the search engine and see what you come up with.. sorry couldn't help more....anne
