test study using Daclatasvir aka "bms790052 "

Was in a hep-c test study several years back using Standard of Care and bms790052 or declatasvir. Went under for short period but ultimatly failed treatment. Guess I'm considered  (partial responder). Question is, my Canadian friend took same treatment, same time and was null responder. Her Dr recently put her on Harvoni over Viekera pac while my Dr suggested Viekera pak over Harvoni. Said something about my body could have built immunity to nsa protease inhibitors from declatisvir. Does anyone have any imput that was in bms790052 declativir study? My insurance turned me down for Harvoni and Viekera pak but would love to know if I am approved, which to take. BTW, also looking into going to another country and paying out of pocket if I can't get approved by these greedy insurance bastards. BCBS tuned me down. My liver fiber scan is not quite f-2 yet. Damn shame when you have to hope for bad results to get treatment. Any help would be gratful..

I`ve read your post with extreme interest as I too failed the BMS790052 trial.  Presently I am awaiting NS5A resistance testing result in order to ascertain a course of treatment going forward and am curious to know whether you or your Canadian friend had this test before recommendations were made by your doctor(s).

Thanks and best to you

I was just commenting about that same thing. on the Achillion thread!  I agree with you.

If you go to bmsnews - daclatasvir, it will pill up 20 plus pages concerning studies of dac and sol, dac and their own asunesprevir (spelling?) which was not approved in U S (some adverse events, I THINK) but was approved in Japan, and daklinza, which was approved in Europe, so they can write prescriptions for the Sovaldi and Daklinza.

My husband are also considering that as an alternative, IF I relapse on Sol/Riba.  I still have a week to go before my EOT Wk12 Labs (and won't find out results until 3-11!).

It truly is a shame that Gilead decided to go with their own formulas, and pulled out of the joint studies when they were so positive.

However, I was interested in what your Dr said about the daclatisvir building up a nsa protease inhibitor immunity.

What is your genotype and when were you in the trial?
