treatment for hepc

hello my dad is suffering from hep c since 7months.he has completed peginterferon for 6months and PCR is negitive but LFT are not yet normal they were ALT 187 at begining and now 109. wat to do?

How are the other blood tests that would indicate liver condition such as platelets, WBC, albumin, PT/INR? Those should give some insight into his oevrall liver health.

oh.ok....thnks....i'll hv to talk to my physician abt it as he was advising biopsy but i am soo concerned n confused...and yeah i m happy for 6month neg pcr..hoping n praying for svr.

No need for a biopsy now. Should have been done before treatment.

don't be to concerned with the LFT's just put all the thoughts into a neg 6 month pcr.  The LFT's could be high from other things, i.e. fatty liver, etc

kindly do help..means ALT AST can be higher even with undetectable viral load?? and wat abt biopsy? shud i go for it? means there is always chnaces of complications u knw but....?
