viral load question

I don't know how important these numbers are.  Maybe someone could tell me. Diagnosed in Aug 06. My first blood test in Oct 06  says HCV RNA PCR QUANT: 4190000    My blood test on 9/7/07  was 2280000.  I started my treatment Sunday Sept 30th.  I am in week 7.   Are these numbers extraordinarily high.  I see people posting their numbers in the hundreds of thousands not in the millions like mine.  Could someone tell me what these numbers mean?

if you were clear by week 4, that means you were a rapid responder. Good indicator that you will clear this for eva!!!!.. what is your genotype??

Thanks for your response.  I had a biopsy. Mild fibrosis and mild inflamation.  My 4 week test didn't show viral load. Dr said okay to continue treatment.  I actually do blood work once a month.  I will ask when next viral load test will be  done.

viral load doesnt tell how much liver damage you have. there are people on here that have high viral load and still clear. Did you have a biopsy? has your Dr done any testing since being on treatment?? He sould have done a 4 week PCR to determine how you are responding to treatment. Get copies of your labs and post them, lot of knowledgable folks here who can help you..
