I used 1/2 phergan suppository n am not only wide awake, but got the Telaprevir itch. Feels like ants biting me. Lol. I'm not nauseated. Geez! Yes. That undetected is keeping me pumped up right now.
You have a great ohilosophy. I too think of people who have endured worse. And then I think of us persevering together. We're gonna make it. One day at a time.. Xoxox Karen:)
Hi there. Sorry you are feeling it right now. Great info above. I also found this page for you on which foods are thought to help (but ignore if any conflict with tx):
http://www.everydayhealth.com/photogallery/9-foods-that-help-relieve-nausea.aspx#/slide-1
anything ginger, ginger ale, snaps, tea, ginger capsules etc.
I find that no caffeine peppermint tea does wonders and I cannot get through a day without those semi-soft peppermint candies. They also help with dry mouth.
Never mind, it was totally about something else, had to do with causing dark colored stools................ Again sorry.
"pepto bismol sounds like one to try. Thanks"
Run that by your doctor first, i can't remember why, when, or how or if i'm even dreaming this but it seems that was a no no on tx.
If the otc doesnt work-get your dr to order you some Zofran.its used for nausea with cancer pts and works very well. The generic is Ondansetron.Hope you feel better soon cndy
thanks, I think I'll try over the counter first. As soon as I drop under 10 HGB I will get procrit. At least the sides arent as difficult as neupogin.
i take ondansetron odt 4 mg tablets....it does work but has some sides...i still am unable to work but i think in a week or two i'll be ok for a little work once my procrit sets in...good luck...billy
pepto bismol sounds like one to try. Thanks
What are over the counter nausea meds? Thank you
Judy
Ditto to what lynda607 said. I have so much respect for all the folks who continue working through treatment. Have you tried any of the otc nausea meds? If otc doesn't help, I would ask the doctor for a Rx for nausea.

Nausea is one of the most common side effects of Incivek. The drugs are working so hold on tight to that thought. When you get that 4 week PCR and it comes back UND it will give you a nice little boost to keep on pushing. 12 weeks of Incivek and your done with that phase of triple therapy. After cessation of Incivek you should start feeling better even though you'll have the interferon and ribavirin to contend with.
It will get better!
