Good one! Now that cracked me up!
Now that I think about it... Fast food is so bad, I am actually surprised it does not kill the virus as well.
As for the Riba diet there is nothing better out there. I totally agree!
Unlike all other diets That one is really de*liver*ing to it's promess (HaHa! Sorry could not resist...)
it just makes sense that we are what we eat...the liver has to filter all that "food", and derive what little nutrition there is from it, and get bombarded by all the fat and salt...I think the key is to change our habits, and find healthy food more appealing, I've known a lot of people who have done this with much success....to where they find this type of food tasting greasy, salty and kind of bad....once your palette changes...
the more salt you eat, the more you crave, the more sugar you eat, the more you crave...once you cut down, the palette changes the other way, etc etc...course, i've been saying this stuff for years now here, and have been accused of being a killjoy, etc...lol....but I maintain that once you change your habits, you no longer find this type of food that appealing...but yeah, if you do it just once in a great while, it's not so bad, I guess...lol....but I think we should extra care to be kind to our livers, along with our stomachs, etc etc...just my take...
LOL...I agree! However, since I've started tx, the smell of fried food nauseates me...LOL...Way better than Jenny Craig dieting! The Riba diet! :)
Wow - we have to enjoy life a little too. Everything probably kills us all eventually, whether we have Hep C or not. Junk food is fine, as long as it is in moderation. If you eat a big mac every day, sure, you will probably die young. But one a week? One a month? That's the key, moderation. Enjoy life's pleasures, but understand them for what they are, indulgences, not meal replacements.
Add fried potatoes to that list...They put off some kind of chemical that actually speeds liver damage and aids in transporting hepatitis!
Those fast food hamburgers are so unhealthy that even people with healthy livers probably shouldn't eat them, but it is amazing how many people do eat that stuff. The places around here are also packed with people.
