I think there's no way I can like 'pro' any more than I do, but than you go and say what you say, pulling on my heart strings with the spitting and da cussing.. and yes, I suspected you were holding back a little, given this environment, but if you ever feel you need to let loose, I'm thinking you're pretty resourceful and could find me... at work so gotta go, and fortunately I'm getting Wed off remainder of tx... or at least until the college kids go back to class in the fall - - they've been helping on some projects and deliveries, etc.  you stay as well as possible with all this you're undergoing... and I'll be checking up on you!

But, the exceptions are the ones who had a very early UND response. I'm not suggesting anyone shorten tx on a whim, or because some have been "lucky" but there are plenty of people who have a rapid viral response and don't need the entire tx to prove the virus is dead. My dr said that today when discussing my results. I was und by week 3, probably earlier if we had tested. Some studies suggested quitting at week 12 gave only a slight drop in statistics for SVR, and I continued to week 16, plus another week of riba. The ones, like you, who are not und immediately, should probably go longer than the whole course. I'm not trying to tell Libby to quit, that's her decision. But for some of us, the old adage "the operation was a success, but the patient died" becomes close to the truth. I'm having post tx problems and am glad I got off the tx when I did. It's not a matter of toughing it out to me, it was a matter of choosing when to stop injecting and ingesting meds that were driving me crazy.., I mean crazier.
Hugs, Peace, Live well,

without being able to cuss, spit or kick some ass, I'm pretty limited in my cheerleading abilities (g)...Take it a week at a time, but don't lose sight of the ultimate goal...and remember, those who have achieved svr on a shortened treatment length are the exception to the rule, not the rule....

You'll always be my favorite 'cause you cut to the chase, honesty without a lot flowery bullsh*t... so got my panties hiked.. and now a bit more 'perky' with the bra straps tightened [g]... thanks for caring.. guess this means we're going steady ... I'll get to the mid point and see where I am and maybe just take one week at a time.  Yeah he is a real hep and didn't wantta see me stop, he likes to take his pts to 52 wks.  at the moment, can't think about it 'cause it is early but gotta hit the sack (I'm getting close to 12 hr sleep per 24 hr time frame ... hey... but still working - - if I'm to get a itty bitty tiny fraction of play and eating in better sign out now ha ha!  ...sure hope you're well and really wish an SVR for you, friend.... with the exception of headache, nausea, fatigue, dizzines with rising from a sitting position, head itching and spaciness today... it has been a hell of a great day JUST LIVING IT UP... Hi Libby, hope you are feeling better....Did you just post you were going to discontinue treatment halfway through? And your a 1 B? Are you seeing an actual hepatologist? You know me, and I have to be honest, this sounds like an absolute gamble. And another thing, don't base your decisions solely on what you read here, remember this group as a whole is only an itty bitty tiny fraction of a percent of those on treatment..Some her are probably to polite to say it(not me[g]), imo, hike up your panties, tightened up your bra straps, grin and bare it and finish treatment.

I am great, except still dealing with post tx immune system sides.
You're smart to get out as soon as you can. I think the meds are toxic. To some more than others. You sound as if they're doing a number on your body, and it gets worse over time, I think. If your body can adjust to the meds, or you have to take them to stay well, do it. If you can shorten tx and stay well, do it!
Good luck,

Aren't you from the midwest? I mean I know it's just a song but where's your state pride?:)
I think you are a wonderful, brave strong guy, and you're family is really lucky to have you around. I bet you make life interesting for them! do you still have your unique skill of finding parking spaces?
I also think you're kinda nuts to go back to work while you're pain is still not under control. Not a good eyedea!
Take care, thanks for making this forum special on Friday's.
Bug,
(I'm from MO. but live in TX. I thought you were from MO, hence the state pride remark)

not cutting much.. only by 1/2.    ;)
Stats:  1b; starting 11 mill VL; non detect on < 5 and and a qualitative by 4 wks; (doc said very likely cleared 1st couple shots;  muscle/bone aches 1st 10 wks, that subsided; chronic/constant/persistent fatigue; sleep now 11 -12 hr out of 24; maintain full time 7 hr work day, 5 day/wk - just cut down to four days.  wbc around 2 - he said that ain't bad; and rbc just at low level of normal; dizzy on rising from squatting or sitting; memory, and clumsiness; hair just starting to fall some; itchy scalp; low tolerance for ignorant people; spaced through a red light.. besides those and few other things, feeling great - but really feel I've got it beat and looking here... I see people here at mh 1, 2 and 3 yrs still aboard with health probs due to post tx sx or those obsessed with Hep C... gotta get back to life I have "2" damage, hopefully the tx set me back already... if not, perhaps some healing with SVR.. and yeah, I gotta believe I made it.  thanks for asking... how are you...  Libby
