That's a pretty picture. I remember finishing up Incivek. I told my wife at the time when I had about two days to go "I'm gonna enjoy this misery 'cause I know it's the last couple of doses" and I did, in a way.
I was initially going to do 48 weeks but it was extended to 52 because they decided not to count the month lead-in. I think I'm down to about 18 shots to go. Did one earlier tonight. Well at least I can kind of start a countdown now. Looking forward to spring if you know what I mean.
Good luck. I remember the previous three times I treated. Yeah the last shot was a nice one to get in front of.
Veeeeery clever....I have to get my HEAD around that. The door KNOB was very cold this morning. I was cold as I LAID in bed this morning. I think that the censors around here are Beavis and butthead or Wayne and Garth...He saId HEAD HeHe...Mark
congrats on the last shot...I remember my last shot from my first treatment...it was nice.......now you don't have to dik around with anymore shots..............bwahahahahahaaa...good luck
How can the nickname for Richard be censored? I am going to have to report this to former VP Cheney, he may ask you to go hunting with him. Come on medhelp, I don't like any kind of censorship, but this is ridiculous. You do realize that many commonly used words can be used for another definition?...Please get real...Mark
Thanks a lot. I took the last shot last night and in true treatment form, I felt bad all day today. The inf just needed to get one more kick in the gut in on me. To quote the great statesman Tricky **** Nixon, it doesn't have me to kick around anymore. Six more days of riba and I reclaim my life again. After 4 years and 4 months of treatment I don't EVER want these drugs to visit me again. Funny, that is about the length of time that I was married and I feel the same about the ex, but that is for another forum...Mark
Enjoy the fact next Friday you'll be on your own.
HAPPY FOR YOU!!

My last treatment ended in 2002 and all my medical records were destroyed. This is a good reason to keep copies as they are only required to keep them for 7 years. I was originally classified as a relapser, but, in reality, I never finished rx und. The insurance company argued that I was a relapser, but when the doctor told them that she would recommend that I sue them, they relented and called me a nonresponder, hence the 48 weeks. Either way, I take my last shot tonight...Mark
Ha it is indeed an encouraging image. I thought you were a relapser who was UND at week four (???). Anyway like a few of the others I initially thought I only treated 24 weeks (which was never an option) and that is what I planned. Switching mindset to the longer treatment duration was pure grudging acceptance rather than the relief and surprise finding out you treat the shorter period must have been. I am glad it worked out for you ! :)
i was also told by gastro that i would treat for 24 weeks. my dr said i would benefit from 48 weeks total. i finished in mid december. i did 48 weeks. i was und all the way, after 3 weeks.
Congrats! What's important is your almost done.I always say look forward not backwards. All the best to you.
mark, looking good with 1 left. i had the same thing happen to me. thought i only had to do 24 but then i had to do 24 more. oh well at least i reached SVR. can't wait to see your post. best wishes. belle
Thanks, in my case, I started out being told that I would do 24 weeks and then in June or July they dropped the 48 week bomb on me. To tell the truth, it would have been much harder to get through the Incivek if I was facing 48 weeks. Maybe this is a good psychological strategy to use, it sure helped me...Mark
Almost across the finish line. Great to hear. Congrats.
