Then there is the ...
Here I sit, all broken hearted.....
that one chokes me up so much I can't go on. I tried to type it into my journal once, but it's just too sad for me.
And another that was in the rotation, referenced by Goofy. Also a G.K. Chesterton :
"A stiff apology is a second insult. The injured party does not want to be compensated because he has been wronged; he wants to be healed because he has been hurt."
Probably a little more appropriate for heppers; lots of angry people on treatment who likely need to apologize for something along the way.
Very true!
A bit of a flip, too, that fairy tales, RVS is "The End" (Riding into the Vivid Sunset).
In the hepper's triumph against the dragon, SVR is "The End"... or "The Beginning!"
Some time ago, before medhelp got all Facebooky, they used to rotate through inspiratioinal verses for us. One that always seemed out of place for us treating heppers was this:
Better to sink beneath the shock
Than moulder piecemeal on the rock
Well said, ladies - well said........
I like it to, and living life w/ courage and integrity requires beating many dragons.
