Yep, I'm more the Andy type sheriff with Barney as my deputy. We run around and I try and keep him in line and help others out, not arrest them!

Well if you're the sheriff are you one of those Mayberry type sheriffs that doesn't carry a gun or that awful Hazard Co. sheriff that's always messin' with the good old boys ?
I prefer to think of myself as Mr. Ernest T. Bass, who carries a rucksack filled with bricks and occassionally ceremoniously tosses one through a window. ( Already been through my 'Otis' phase. )

Probably could, but I'm too afraid of blowing smoke into the room! When we first got here, I was really careful, smoked outside and got turned in by housekeeping. It turned out it wasn't the smoking, but the smoke smelling suitcases and clothes we brought!

Speaking of smoking and cemeteries. I can't stop smoking cigs and now that i am in a hotel with NO smoking, I have to hang out the window to smoke. The window looks over the cemetary. An omen or a good laugh? I tend to laugh myself!

I hope you rethink your position on leaving. I feel like you contribute a lot and have always been kind, fair and knowledgeable....I would hate to see you go and miss you.

Actually, my son's friend had to take anger management at the high school after getting into a fight on field at a soccer game. I know it's not a required course, just something they make kids take if they fight. Really didn't do too much for this kid, he's had a broken jaw and a broken fist since taking the course. (Fighting of course)

NY's post is equally perplexing. I think her hostility is quite apparent - that is, if she knew the background when she posted.

I just want to say for the record that I never wanted and still don't want GO to leave. I derive no satisfaction or comfort from his departure. To the contrary I think he has been an asset here. I can only conclude that other factors must be involved because I do not think the thread is evidence of any untoward behavior on anyone's part that should lead to this type of reaction. Mike
Very well said, unfortunately, I guess you have to be around here for awhile to get the tenor and tone of the place...it's been soooo much better lately, maybe this busting up of the boards was a good idea, it seems to be a little more moderated, which can be a good thing overall....it's just a matter of discussing things civilly (to get various points of view accross) - or knowing when youre being bated for a fight - then I try to just let it pass....for the sake of the whole board.....like a bunch of ill people need to see a lot of petty bickering or name calling or mind-frigging...
Sometimes I think it's just a question of some people being overly sensitive that day, for whatever reason...and I can only guess what being hyped up on treatment drugs is like, probably a big reason why people go off as well...but just the fact that it has been so civil around here lately, makes me think that things can go well here despite the treatment drugs, for the most part anyway...
I have to do that while driving on occasion, someone's tailgating me and flipping me the finger to move faster, I usually don't engage them....I just pull over and let them pass....I always imagine they are rushing off to perform brain surgery, ha ha!!!! Maybe they should teach anger management in high school, what a great tool to have in life, I myself rarely use algebra and they made me take that...:)
But yeah, if I haven't had any sleep in awhile, and I'm stressed out to the max with a lot of things going wrong in my day, i've been known to engage in sillyness around here, to my discredit....it's really such a waste of time and energy....though really compelling sometimes on a low level...same reason that some people want to see Lindsey Lohan self destruct, or something of that nature, my opinion only...

As we all know hepatitis, tx and all the complications it brings into our lives makes for stressful times. Add in the fact that things can easily be misunderstood on the internet. Sometimes we can jump to the wrong conclusions (I know I have). Does everyone think like everybody else? I personally would find life not the same if it were. We are emotional beings and sometimes we say things we don't mean or say things that can get misunderstood. I don't want anyone to leave except those few individuals that post things about what they do with their socks:). They only hit and run usually though.
I guess what I am saying is that we have a common bond in having hepC. We are in this for better or worse. The words forgive and forget come to my mind. We should be able to laugh at ourselves at times and laugh with others often. GO you write very well I enjoy reading your posts and support. Mike I feel the same about your posts. I enjoy both of you even if you are not on the same page at times.

I was just thinking the other day that the really nice thing about the Hepatitis Community forum is that it's minus the nonsense that pops up from time to time on the other side. Unlike the other side, most topics seemed to be discussed rather than debated, with the often resulting hard feelings. I'm not directing this post to any particular person but I do feel bad that we now have our first noticeable conflict here. I hope GO comes back both for the support he gives as well as any support he may need.
Please make at pit stop at the other forum. Foo Fighter has a need that you may be able to help with.
