Happy Holidays to everyone

I just wanted to take a few minutes to Wish everyone a Blessed Holiday Season.! And Happy New year coming.   Its officially been a year since I completed my 48 weeks, and what a difference in  how I feel.    It seems the past year went by fast compared to the year I was on treatment.   I feel so much better.   I can have fun again, and feel like I am part of the living.     No longer look like I am walking death.      I am still clear and that is a blessing it itself.    I still have not had a drink to celebrate.  ( not that I am a drinker anyway ) but think I am going to toast in the New Year .   Finish it up with OJ the next morning..     I hope this holiday season brings everyone what they want or need.  As there are so many out there that have nothing.     I may be looking for  a new job in the new year, due to the economy, its hard to say if our office will remain open.  I can only pray they do.

My new pup Delilah is such an angel.  It will be interesting to see how she acts when the rest of the family comes for dinner tomorrow.  But she is a happy girl.  I am so glad that I found her.    I am convinced that Piper & Cessna sent her from heaven.   I posted some pictures of her on my profile.  I will get more on Xmas.

Well I hope this finds everyone well, and those finished with treatment, I pray for SVR and for those who are still on treatment or waiting for the next round.  I pray this is the last time for  you, its a tough road to go down.  But you can do it...

Merry Christmas, Happy New Year All  ~

Happy New Year!  My wife and I both quit smoking several months ago (in 2008).  You can do it.  The roughest times is the first couple of weeks.  Neither of us would ever go back. No desire to either.  I know you can do it.  Jacob.

Yes it is a good thing to be here today, feeling the way I feel.  I Know there were times I did not think I would make it to 48 wks. but I did it.   Being the 2nd time around, I doubt that I would have wanted to go thru it a 3rd time.    But who knows.. I did want to rid myself of this disease for sure.   I am so glad that I did, and all the ones who have made it, I am sure we all are glad to be here today.   Now if I can just rid myself of my bad habits.   Its my new years resolution to quit smoking...  again.....   LOL   I am going to do it this time.. I really hate the taste as it is.   And tired of a cold, and a lingering cough that never wants to go away when I get sick.  So this is going to be it.  Today and tomorrow are my last days of smoking.   Any one else want to join me ?  We can be our own support group.   Although we cannot hear that flick of the lighter or the tone in our voice as we take that drag off a cigarette.   , while typing on the computer.  But we can do it.  If we can go thru all this and come out ok.    Its for a reason, and no sense to smoke when its going to do more harm yet to come.   Thats what Mike used to say, as I was so sick and feeling like I was dying sometimes.  He'd say ok  your healing your liver, what about your lungs.   So I am quiting for myself and for my loved ones.  I don't want to leave them behind.   So I am depending on all my friends her to be my support group.  OK ?   Well time to go cook some stir fry,    need to cut up some veggies, and make some rice.  I hope everyone has a Wonderful New Years !   I will be drinking some champaigne tomorrow night and will toast to everyone.  Maybe even kill the Egg Nog tonight, Elaine.   I toast to you.... and to all that were with me thru this long journey, and I know I haven't been much support over the last year.  I have been there in thought and heart.   And always in Prayer .    Happy New Year !!

Merry Christmas to all the past TX’ers, who would have ever thought we would have been here back then. It was trying times for those who were subdued during the holidays but time has changed and so did we.

Have a Holly Jolly Christmas
we made it through the year
lord only knows that if the svr holds
we may not be here again next year.

Oh, ho, the mistletoe
will help you make it through this year
loving hands and a kind heart
may let your spirit grow.

So, Have a holly, jolly Christmas;
this year may you may not know
treatment is hard and you will not know
until the coming year.

Have a holly jolly Christmas,
and in case you didn't hear,
Oh by golly, have a holly,
jolly Christmas this year.
