bluebird305's daughter was shot and killed

Hi All,

bluebird305, our friend on the Hep C, Cirrhosis, and Social forums, asked me to post and let you all know that her daughter was shot and killed last week by a state trooper in Manchester, New Hampshire.  She was a 45 year old mother and grandmother on her way to work, when troopers chased her.  She was shot 4 times and died of a gunshot wound to the chest, and multiple shots were fired into the windshield and driver's side of the car.  Bluebird said that witnesses reported that 11 shots were fired at her daughter, who was unarmed and inside the stopped vehicle.  She was afraid of police and became anxious when they chased her, but she was not armed.  It's hard to understand why the state trooper would fire 11 shots directly into the driver's side and windshield of the car of an unarmed woman still in the car, regardless of any circumstances.

This is incredibly awful news. I'm so very sorry for Bluebird and her family, and I'm getting pretty angry at how the police seem to be firing on unarmed citizens more frequently lately. It's tragic but it's also plain creepy. I wish our police were less likely to shoot first and ask questions later.

I can not even imagine the pain Blue is experiencing.  I am so sorry.   Her daughter was killed in the same 24 hour period as the woman in DC  I worry about what is happening to this world when someone can be shot like this.
Blue we are all so very very sorry.

Bluebird, my heart goes out to you and I pray every day that you will find peace and comfort.
It is hard to know what to say, how does one survive such an impossible tragedy? I do not know the answer but I can tell you that during this time you are not forgotten. I hold you in my thoughts and as a mother of children I share your heartbreak.
Hang in there hon,hold tight to those who have their arms out to you. You will get through this.
