8 Days Since TX ended, Feeling Woozy, Is IT BACK??

Fellow Liverphiles
:)
Heres my query.

For any of us who relapsed after treatment, could any of you tell after 8 days the virus was back?

I have an exhaustion and fatigue, NOT the Riba/Inteferon fatigue, but an overall gut wrenching fatigue, and my urine isnt totally clear anymore ( Been drinking alot of water)

I have read that 90% of relapse happens within the first 8 days ( Is this true?) And I am at day 8, so if anyone has relapsed, looking back, when did your body feel OFF and you sensed indeed you had relapsed?

Thank you as always for your help, really appreciate it.

PS I had a Rapid Response, clear after 4 weeks, 24 weeks treatment, genotype 3, Interferon shot once a week, 2 Riva AM and 2 Riba PM.

Sorry to hear about your mother in law.  My husband was great support...he even posted for me when I couldn't!  He says he would kill me if I retreated. I relapsed.  I went through an awful death in my family after tx. Wow, it was really hard. I felt so lousy, I would nod out on my friend who was dying shoulder.  Quite a support, huh?  He wanted me there and I was.  Have you considered tapering off tx with interferon?  Perhaps the sx wouldn't be so bad.

.........but an overall gut wrenching fatigue...........
That's @ my whole tx,lol!

Slow down, don't put yourself thru this! Coming off these drugs is probably as hard on the body as when 1st putting them into us...SHOCK!  From all I know, have read, here....MANY feel bad going off tx and it can last awhile. Your body is ridding itself of these drugs (estimated to take weeks, months ) and your body is totally adapting to 'doing things' on it's own again. I have never heard of anyone 'feeling' the virus come back.
Are you getting a 4 week test? Be sure you do and RELAX! Let your body recover and heal from all it's been through.

Feel better and SVR wishes for you,

LL

I have not yet begun tx, but my new specialist (that I LOVE!) said that it can take 3 months before you feel better FOLLOWING tx!
Good luck!!!!

WOW, thats exactly how I feel.
My TX itself sucked of course, but I never sweated it, very fatalistic about it, BUT Im REALLY horrified for my wife, she has been such an amazing support, yet now we find out her Mom most likely has lung cancer, and to have to go thru treatment again, with so much on her plate, would KILL ME.
I feel SO guilty about this.
And yes coming off TX these symptons are PHYSICALLY far worse then what I had on TX, are we in Kansas yet, dorothy?

I too had worse symptoms post tx than pre and during tx.  I swore i had relapsed, i spent 3 mths worrying  , well und at 3,6,&12mths. 18mth followup is coming up in 2 wks. and of course iam terrified i have relapsed.  I cant tell you when these feelings end or if they ever do, but iam scared!!  i figure maybe by my 2 yr follow up i can give my nerves a break.

hmmmm. I was in the hospital with some major stuff, but was on tx for most of it stopped a few days before I left. Afterwards I think I slept a lot.  I had some extreme pain in the joints etc. I did relapse, but I doubt you can tell if you are going to. I know Kalio is a g 3, had a PCR soon after tx of 24 weeks and had relapsed. She jumped back on tx and SVR'ed. More and more we see g3s relapse with 800 riba etc...of course nothing like g1's.  If your Dr. will give you a PCR sooner rather than later, go for it!  I wouldn't worry so much now.  Post tx isn't fun and it takes awhile to feel better.  Hard not to worry, huh?  If you were RVR, you are golden!

from everything ive read here, you cannot and will not feel it if it comes back.
a lot of people get worse before they get better after finishing. this is normal,
dont sweat it.
the only way you will know of relapse is pcr's down the road.
ive never heard that 90% of relapse happens so quick but it sounds like its
probably true.
