Relax, all o.k.     If you follow the posts, you will see whats happening.   In a nutshell,  The acct. admin. has been trying her best to mellow things out here.  So:,  That brl thing was done with.  Now Abbas is pulling some old tricks out the little thingys shorts and caused a mixup for Pigeonca . So there were some flags and deleations lately.  I think M.H. admin. did good job but got mixed up.
Hey good to see back,   hope all is well .

It's not necessarily your imagination, or the meds.  Posts do disappear by the actions of MH, either on their own or as a result of members who raise issues to MH.  There have been many such threads in the timeframe you mention.  I usually am an early reader and have seen and responded to many of these threads that have been later deleted.  One interesting one a few days ago was written by a familiar poster who apparently is dealing with some anger, frustration or something (not Abass).   In the post he had mentioned harvesting e-mail addresses that have been written here.  MH has rules about including certain information in posts, and for good reason.  When people put sensitive data in the public domain they should expect that it will not always be treated wisely.  I work in an industry that deals with confidential and secure data and fully understand the risks of information compromise.  Can cause a whole passel of problems.

I didn't see the post. I heard about it though. sounds scary. That's why I never use my "real" e-mail address.

I could have sworn you said goodbye to med help in one of your posts that summed up all the postings you had ever done in this forum.
Did I get that wrong?

I agree,,,it comes in waves,,,,starts to settle and then something else is around the corner.  I only notice one particular thread missing anyways and was nothing to do with anything bad,,,,just thinking that maybe the poster of the thread decided to do a delete and thats all.

I missed most of all that (as usual)... but when you put your curser over a thread & look at the bottom left of your explorer window... you can see the address of the link... (the are in numerical order counting up as you go) & by doing that I see a BUNCH of threads on that front page alone that have been deleted (because I can see the missing numbers between post).... so I don't know what they were... but as others have said... there is usually a reason, & comes in waves generally when trouble is brewing... it's probably easier, & less time consuming to remove the entire thread vs individual post.

Also.. the scenero that Foresee mentioned in another thread (that I can't find now) was dead on... sometimes... when a bunch of stuff is going on... innocent ones get their stuff deleted, or possibly get reprimanded even banned, because they don't have time to read every single little post to always get the big picture of what is going on... & only see exactly what they where directed towards.. It happens.... but can generally be corrected or cleared up...

I think MH has done an outstanding job of staying on top of this stuff to the best of their abilities... Think about the maintenance this forum alone probably requires ...for an unmoderated forum, it sure requires & LOT of moderation at times... LoL...

Things will settle down again... (Till The Next Wave)... just gotta go with the flow, & try not to get too worked up over things that are beyond our control... we can only be responsible for our own actions...

When you have this many people, with so many personalities, & throw some serious drugs into the ... there are bound to be problems every now & then!

Instead of dissing MH... maybe it's time to drum up some donations for their time & effort instead.. after all.. it can't be easy keeping this forum open! LoL

really well said Tator (you know a lot about puters huh?) (notwithstanding the compliment, ha ha) even though I've had problems with this place in the past and certain adjudications they've made....I always try to say how grateful I am to them for even keeping this place running, it can't be easy, especially when some of the natives get restless...

The people who've only been here a matter of months, instead of a matter of years, probably would freak out big time at what *can* go on around here from time to time, (they really have no idea, do they?) but like Honey(?) said, it eventually always blows over...and I think mangt. is trying to do more to ensure the madness doesn't get too outtahand....the players get bored and take their toys and go home (for awhile anyway, ha ha) and I think there are many more spans of relative peace around here, for the past year or so....

I remember Orson Welles saying something about crime....he said he wasn't surprised at how much crime there was in the cities, etc.. he said, and I'm paraphrasing "with as many people living on top of each other in apt's and complexes, and as many people driving around in little tin cans and on the streets, I'm surprised there isn't a lot more crime"....it is surprising with this many people who can come here anonymously --- and for the most part there is peace and people just helping each other...it really says a lot for people when you think about it, just my take...
