Why do doctors leave messages on Friday afternoons

I just got a message my Hepatologists nurse about wanting to go over my just received ultrasound results. Of course it is 7 PM now so will have to wait till Monday to find out what the heck is going on.

Hi

Thanks for the positive thoughts

Of course I called at 8:05 AM to find out what is going on. She just wanted to let me know that they had my most recent ultrasound results and the were unchanged from my last one. The nurse apologized and said that because of HIPA rules she could not leave a detailed message. She is really nice but I said she kinda freaked me out. I said maybe we need a code word or something. Or just send a message thru the secure message of MyChart web page. Anyway thank goodness it wasn’t anything, Yikes!

Lynn.   I agree what an insensitive thing to do.   I wish I could tell you not to worry, but human nature doesn't allow that!   I will keep my fingers double crossed that its good news.      ...Kim

Thanks just venting a little.
Just makes you wonder what they are thinking...

Sorry!  That's not a very thoughtful thing to do.
