so sick

i posted a couple days ago about bacterial infections. the ear infection z pack they gave me bounced back and i spent wed night with a 103 plus fever. i have never been this sick.

Are you on tx?  I know that when my hubby was on tx, he develped an ear ache that seemed to linger for awhile but after taking the meds and z-pack,,,,it started getting better.  I know that 103 temp,,,,you feel horrible!  Hope you feel better soon and take it easy and drink extra fluids,,,

The only time I was sick on tx, I was so sick I had never been that sick before.  I looked in the mirror and saw my mother.  I shuffled when I walked.  I was really close to dehydration and was surpised that my doctor did not admit me.  Instead he told me to go home and force myself to dring water.  I think I was about week 36 then.  You will get better, Deb, just take it real easy and please try to dring fluids.

I don't know how long you've been taking z pac.  Been awhile,but I believe that's a 4 day med and it's for viral not sure forget.  Brain fog.  You need to get back to the Dr. or at least call because it's not working.

hi...I am sorry to hear you are feeling so bad. I have no (not yet...) experience with ear infections but I know all about high fevers...total drag... I pray you will feel better in the morning.

Real sorry. Sometimes it takes a little longer for the Z-Pak to work. Have you seen an ENT specialist? Sometimes one antibiotic works better than another and ENT's they specialize in ear infections, plus they have the tools to get a good look at what's happening. I had lots of problems with my ears during treatment and was on antibiotics of one sort or another for over a third of treatment. Hope you feel better soon.

I agree with jm.  Maybe it's time for the ear nose throat Dr.  If I remember right this ear problem has been going on a long time.  Don't mess with the ears.  It's no fun living with hearing loss due to permanent nerve damage.
