today injection day - woke w/flu sx today

spoke to triage nurse, left msg for GI RN but did so late in day.
my sx began sudden last night about 2am  sore throat, thick stuff burns like battery acid, can hardly talk, headache, dizzy -on top of the tx sx.  so feel doubly worse.  took riba late today (just barely took 3p, cause felt too dizzy to get up earlier today.

should i take my injection or wait to hear from RN i didn't call to leave message till about an hour ago, she is gone for day.

i have been moving injection back every few weeks so this would be the only time i went 8 days between since i began.  today would be 21/24.

Opinions (humble or not)

I'll have to try throwing in some stuff to see if it works.  My kids eat a lot of yogurt, just haven't acquired the taste yet.  But I get on cottage cheese with fruit jags everyone in a while.  Probably not a lot of difference.

Yogurt is an aquired tast for me. I mixed enough stuff in it that I finally aquired a taste! Nuts, granola, bananas, berries, m&m's! The fresh ingredients helped boost the taste for me. Specially the fresh melt in your mouth not in your hand type.

On tx it's easy to be oblivious to the monogomy too.  I find that I get in diet ruts.  But it's because so many things seem unappetizing.  Get one thing, wear it out and try to find another.  Find myself reverting to egg salad more than a few other faithful standbys.  Wished I like yougurt, it looks good to me but disappointing when I try it.

funny you should say that i have been eating chicken soup literally every day since Wednesday. i am one of those people who could eat the same thing every day and be oblivious to the monogamy (strike that, i meant monotony - did i spell tht right? looks wrong)...and still enjoy it.

Hope you feel as well as reasonably possible this weekend.  Chicken soup?

hey i noticed that once i called you FL gal.  i am sorry that must have been one of those weeks i could not see very well. happily vision is about normal these days.

the RN returned my call yesterday, i was feeling so weak didn't even try to answer phone she left voice msg. said that i would continue tx as directed (that i did), if i had need for antibiotics to treat the infection i should make an appointment.  this i did today, but won't be seen until 8:15p pacific time.. at the after hr. clinic.  apparently there is a lot of something going around (flu or virus) because it has been hard to get through all week, to appt center, triage nurse and other stuff i have called about.  they are really hopping at the hmo.

Did the GI nurse office ever get in touch with you?  What did they say?

Sorry, just getting back to your question. I took Clonozapam and Remeron at the same time. Clonozapam for anxiety and Remeron just makes you feel dam good and hungry as a horse. I also took Zoloft but that made me sick.

Dear rosebud,

I know where your at and I know how you feel. I recall choking down the riba and poking another hole in my body. Lying on the couch and not caring if lived another day. The most important thing to survive the tx is getting your health care provider to get you drugs that will help you through this. I took pain pills, sleeping pills, depression pills (3 kinds), pills to keep me from vomiting, and pills I can't even remember. Many may disagree with this approach, but whatever it takes to be healthy was my approach. Anyway, hang in there.

honestly, the worst that could happen?  i don't feel good and want to sleep and rest my body.  but the lack of sleep usually comes several days later anyway.  loading up on fluids i will take in a few hours.

Sindog I love your approach! Do what it takes is my theory, but my dr treated me like a drug addict. I had some left over pain pills from trying to shut my big wooden blinds and they fell on me cut and broke my nose! I didn't use them all and posted once that I would take them sometimes on shot weekend, and I felt like a drug addict all over again. Actually after everyone said they would never do that most said do what's best for you. Most people are supportive, although we don't always agree on how to approach tx.
Rose, are you on peg-intron to call B-N-Charge? If not I could call and make up some big LIE! I'm getting pretty good at it. Let's see, you're a social worker and I work  in rehab and we've been exposed to the flu......:)
Hugs,
Bug

sincerely, thank you for your help. i guess i needed to get that speech.. i do have most of those things that help..  i really don't want another (a.d.).i've been putting down a lot of liquid, will do something nice for myself before i do the deed.  (bubblebath or something), and top it off with some icecream,  i guess i can get past this week once again.

like all of us i am wishing that i'd be done so i can get on with life.
thank you.

If it's your shot day, do your shot.  What the worst that can happen, you feel like you already feel?  Adherence to the med schedule is important.
