false results?

recently ive been experiencing many symptoms that ive seen are related to hepatits c. i had smoked crack from pipes for a month but quit about 2 months ago. the person i was smoking with told me that his father has been told that he had some sort of hepatitis c. we would share pipes between the family and sometimes they were cracked and i know that you can get it from sharing pipes and hurting your lips and i have before....(he tells me that its the least worst one and i dont know what he means by this) but i know its the real thing (chronic) because of symptoms ive heard him complain about. ANYWAYS. i got a blood test done because i was told that i had chlamydia and having that makes me more susseptible to other diseases. the next step is to get a blood test to check for hiv and hepatitis.
they took the blood and they called me telling me that it came back negative for anything.
im just not sure if they checked "hard enough" or took the right procedures to check for hep c or not. im not so sure that im off the hook or not. please tell me if im freaking out for no reason...im just so sick of going in and out of the doc and not getting any help for the right things. also i dont think the chlamydia is cleared (took the pill that they prescribed) and am still experiencing symptoms (even worsethan before) and that in turn makes me think that my body is not absorbing medication the right way.

im almost positive that i have hepc. i just know that i was exposed to it. is there a reason for me to think that the blood test they took was not extensive enough to detect the disease???

Listen to Dr. Dieterich and get the qauntine PCR test done.  Yes by smoking crank you have exposed yourself to posibly getting hep c. It may not be in the top percentage of how contact hep c but I have known people say they just shot up drugs one time and was hep c postitive. This test will let you know and will give you a peace of mind of what you may have to deal with. I hope for you that it will turn out negative.

It is possible that you are in the early stages of HCV where the antibody is still negative. In that case you have to ask them to do quantitative PCR testing for HCV.I would also ask for copies of my test results so that you can see them. By the way you also need to get help with the crack thing. not good for your health in any way shape or form! Take charge of your health now!  DTD
