Back pain from recovered Hep C patient

2 year post Tx Hep C condition is still negative, but suddenly I get upper abdominal back pain associated with bloating after eating or even drinking water.  I thought symptom was for early pancreatitis, but no typical symptoms for that other than the bloating and back pain.  I do not see any other cause of back pain associated with bloating in all my research.  Bloating (without gas) associated with back pain is an odd combination of symptoms.  I am now starting to take ibuprofen for the pain.  (I am 68 years old.)

Any help on this please?  I am at a loss.

Thanks, WillPower

PS: High to all my Hep C friends of the past!

Thanks for your suggestions.  I have checked with Docs on all the issues you mentioned.  Like Hep C, they are only human: they failed to mention pancreatitis, which is the only digestion issue that could be possible since I recently had an annual Hep C TNA which was negative.  I was worried that the Hep C might have returned.

I am just jumping in here...

Have you checked your food? What you are describing seems a lot like Salt Retention and quite possibly food allergens.

I dunno what is causing it - but you need to check out things -- -like what you eat --- what you do during the day -- -and how you are sitting --- etc.

Make sure you eat healthy - and are getting some form of exercise.

I'd visit your local doctor about the bloating and pain... just to be on the safe side.

We prescribe IBUPROFEN a lot for ourselves --- when pain can be an indicator of something that is very wrong.
