If the lump is a hernia, it should usually increase in size on raising the abdominal pressure. If not the 'lump' could also be a sebaceous cyst, a lipoma, or lymph nodes. They could also be herpes infections, cysts, yeast infections and infected hair follicles. If there is accompanying swelling, redness, discharge and fever it is most probably an infection. You may need to consult your primary care physician who will examine you and initiate appropriate therapy.

it might be thats how i discovered mine first there was a small pain like a bruise would say it was the size of a dime then it grew to where it felt like a baseball the wasnt much pain involved just alot of anxiety from not knowing what it was but i woul say to go get i checked out anyways just to be safe best of luck and hope this helped
