please need help right away

I will have to go to ER in no more than 24-48 hours , my inguinal hernia is killing me, is touching my testicles and my penis already. I was sent to ER last december but because no insurance, no money ,no work I didn't go now I have. there is not another way, I can't wait.
please I need advice . I HAVE NO FAMILY OR ANY FRIEND TO HELP ME AT ALL , plus I live in very anusual place  so I need to plan every little detail in advance.
- What kind of food to eat?
-How many days can go without eating so I won't have problems using the toilet or go several times?
- can I survive just eating yogurt or something no solid so I won't get too weak ?
- any special medication?

Thanks in advance

Hello Dr Anitha!
Thanksfor for taking the time to help me, I really appreciated.

These are the simptoms I have:

-- When lying down the bulge goes back inside while the pain is still there, I feel like I have several horizontal- open wounds inside me.
I felt this way on the right side, untill a month ago , now is on both sides ( left and right-lying down or standing up)

-- After few seconds I got up, the bulge comes out plus the pain. and I can see the bulge getting more vertically aligned with my penis and testicles.
   day after day.

-- Maybe since 14-16 months ago I started having really more painful times, making me scream, while standing I feel my intestines going down and ( in just few seconds) getting really "HARD" SO I have to push harder to get them back inside.some times I have to run to a couch an put my legs up onto the wall with my head close to the flor so my intestines will go up( down).this happens several times in a day and everyday. is this INCARCERATED ???
it hurts from the testicles all the way up to the ribs.

question here is: is there a possibility of the bulge goin in to my testicles? just thinking about it make me crazy. pain I can take it but
I don't think I could live that way'
I appologize for my writting , English is not my first language, and once again from my heart THANKS.

Hi there, to begin with don't panic. Is the hernia reducible? means does it reduce in size or go back into the abdomen on lying down? If it does, then you don't have to worry, though you will still need surgery. If it is not reducible or if there is pain you will need surgery immediately. If at present you have swelling or redness or pain or irreducibility of the hernia go the ER.

If you don't have symptoms now, the surgery is best performed as an elective surgery with all the adequate precautions, to prevent recurrence. The precautions you will have to take will be, to first rule out if you are a diabetic or not. If you are one, then your blood sugars must be brought to euglycaemic levels. The second precaution would be to see that the wound does not become infected; otherwise it will give way. After surgery, you have to maintain precautions while bending down and lifting heavy weights. The aim of the surgery is wound strengthening, so that hernia does not occur again. If the gap is large, then a mesh may be used. Regards.
