hsv 1 by genital to genital sex, hsv 1 up inside the urethra

Can genital hsv 1, ( I assume initially contracted by oral to genital sex ), be spread to another by genital to genital sex ? I am confused on this issue. I THINK I've read in postings by Dr. H.H.H. that it's very unlikely.

Is it possible to have hsv 1 up inside the urethra ? If it is  would it have reoccurances as does herpes on the genitals as in having O B's happening then clearing and then reoccuring at various time sequences.

I understand that herpes lesions ON the penis at the urethra opening can cause burning when urinating if urine contacts an open lesion. Is that TRUE ???  Would ejaculate, (CUM) have the same effect?

Issue I have is some burning up in the urethra after ejaculating. Normally between the testicles and ther rectum area. It most always happens after cumming but it is more or less mild. Can this be from hsv 1 up in the urethra?  If so, wouldn't an O B come then go away then return as herpes on the genitals does ? This never seems to go away.

Hope I haven't confused you too much. Thanx

you actually have no reason to suspect that your hsv1 is genital. odds are it's oral. your symptoms you have posted about don't sound herpes related.

1st posting     Yes I had blood tests for both testings..( I sent these two postings to a wrong address. You should have received them prior to the last posting with all the test results ).

2nd posting    Forgot to mention I had those blood tests for the panel of AIDS, HIV, HEP, GON, CHLAM, & HSV done twice if that makes any difference. My long time female partner of over 30 yrs has never had any signs, lesions or discomfort of any kind. After seeing a Urologist at the initial time of this urethral burning he diag. it as non bacterial prostititusI

Sorry about the repeated string of info.

I just read one of DR H.H.H.'s posts and he stated that the type specific test is the newest up to date test for HSV I & II .
Maybe these test results can be helpful.
These tests were done 3 mos. apart.

The tests I had done for both tests were HSV I and II  -  Specific Ab,

1st test    HSV I  -  IgG, Type Spec.   3.4   index       0.0 - 0.8
                                                             Negative          1.0

2nd test    HSV I  -  IgG, Type Spec.   5.8    index       0.0 - 0.8
                                                             Negative          1.0

1st test HSV II  -   IgG, Type Spe     Negative              0.0 - 0.8
                                                             Negative         or  1.0

2nd test HSV II  -   IgG, Type Spe     Negative              0.0 - 0.8
                                                             Negative         or  1.0

I took this info off the LabCorp Test Results

I've read your post on the std forum and I have questions.

what testing did you have done that was hsv1+? I'm going to assume just a blood test?
