Do these sound like herpes symptoms in men?

I am a male and had protected sex (condom) with a woman 7 days ago. Yesterday, I noticed that the tip of my penis felt very cold throughout the day, and at night 3 discolored spots appeared on the tip. The spots are pale, skin colored, and only slightly raised (like a mini plateau). They do not look like pimples or bumps, but they definitely look irregular when inspected closely. They also do not hurt, however, the tip of my penis still has that cold sensation today. Is this an early stage of genital herpes and will these turn into blisters?

For a single exposure they are very effective. That stat is more geared toward long term relationships. That being said the areas covered by the condom during Intercourse are protected. Where you are not, are areas not covered. Since your are of concern is the tip of the penis and not the public area, I would say this is not an std of any kind

Your symptoms are not hsv related. You can not get hsv or any std through an intact condom. It is possible although unlikely to get hsv on your public region as it is not protected. Again nothing you describe sounds like herpes at all.

Everything I've been reading says that condoms are only around 50% effective in preventing herpes.
