Additional Testing?

I recently was tested for HSV1 & 2

Herpes Select
In November 07

HSV 1  4.0
HSV 2  1.9

In May 08

HSV 1  4.5
HSV 2  1.8

Here's where I am having trouble, I have never had any symptons indicating an outbreak for either, and my husband of 9 years has tested negative for both. I have read a million articles and still remain unsure, I am wondering if I should accept this, or keep testing, or get a western blot done? Can anyone please help?

Any provider who uses quest labs can arrange for a herpes WB thru them.  Sorry to hear that you've been having so much trouble getting tested :(

Well I have to say getting the western blot done is proving to be quite challenging, and by challenging I mean FRUSTRATING! I can't believe the ignorance and arrogance of doctors and lab facilities on the matter. I finally called the U of Washington to get a kit to have the sample sent off with. I hope it comes soon so I can get this over with. I really can't believe that I live in a major metropolis and can't find anyone competent to do this.

Get the WB done.  Your hsv2 has stayed low enough this whole time that it's well worth confirming if it's a false positive or not.
