What do I do now?

Hi all,
I've been diagnosed with HSV1 & am quite sure I got it genitally after receiving unprotected oral sex from a gal I didn't know.  A couple of weeks later, my testicles hurt quite badly & was given Doxycycline which cleared it up.  All other STD have been ruled out after a 6 week waiting period.  My sypmtoms are lightheadedness, difficulty focusing on things, blurred vision, fatigue, tingling fingers & toes that stays with me all day, muscle discomfort/pain particularly in my thighs & buttocks, muscle tension in forearms & sometimes I get these micro pains in my penis & bladder.  There's just this needle ***** sensation for a second, then goes away.  My heart races & flutters from time to time throughout the day, that's why I saw a Cardiologist who said that my heart is fine.  All doctors said that I am physically fine & HSV1 is very common.  Then why am I experiencing all these symptoms?  Does genital HSV1 cause the symptoms that I described?  Can I pass this on to my GF without any visual outbreaks?  I haven't had any outbreaks ever in my life, but this is really unnerving.  Any helpful advice is greatly appreciated.

You likely have oral HSV1. Talk to your doc about your anxiety. But if you stop worrying about this, the anxiety symptoms will probably go away on their own. Jesus, it's Fourth of July, go out and enjoy yourself! It's a lovely and breezy 65 here in San Francisco and it's gorgeous! Go eat a hot dog or something.

When I did my full STD bloodtest, it came back with HSV1 positive.  Anxiety can cause all these symptoms?  It's hard for me to accept the fact that my mind is creating all these symptoms.  I forgot to mention that I was on Ciprofloxacin for 2 weeks & then Doxycycline for another 2 weeks because my testicular pain was not going away with the Cipro.  Can being on antibiotics for that long cause some or all of these symptoms even after I've been off of it for about a month?  Side effects of Cipro are fast / irregular heart beat, dizziness.  If this is in fact Anxiety, where can I get help & treatment?  Thanks waringblender for the advice.

Nothing you've described sounds like genital hsv1. The only way to know you have it genitally is to have a lesion cultured if you notice one.

How were you diagnosed with HSV1? Your symptoms sound a lot more like anxiety (the cardio symptoms). Doxy wouldn't clear up herpes, so if what you had cleared up with doxy, it wasn't herpes.
