A test must be taken at 12 weeks plus after possible exposure to be conclusive.
However it is not recommended or needed in my view to test again for herpes, there is simply no reason to suspect an infection occurred.
Thanks a lot Fleetwood20 :)
I just collected my test results...EVERYTHING was Non-Reactive and NEGATIVE :D
But this is Blood sample taken at 15days after exposure. When i asked Doctor whether it is conclusive, he says it is conclusive and no need to take any further tests.
But, i read in the forums, must wait 3weeks for Herpes test and 12weeks for Syphilis test...
I am confused. Should i take test again?
You needed a swab test of the lesion.
A blood test will only be conclusive 12 weeks after possible infection.
There is no way what you describe can be herpes lesions associated with an initial outbreak.
I am still waiting for the results. Hopefully tomorrow (5days). I have couple of questions.
1) Is HSV-1 or 2 detectable at 15days after exposure through Blood test?
2) If what i had is a Herpes sore, can it just get healed in 2days with Virless cream? (I just noticed like a white patch with centre wet very small, next day went to doctor and he himself cannot see clearly and prescribed me cream, i applied for 2days and it's gone. Now looks like normal skin)
But i had some viral infection like feeling for a week. Fatigue, muscle ache, tiredness, a tingling feeling on the lymph node especially on the left pelvic area slightly above groin...
Someone please enlighten me...
Thanks.
No it does not. Await your test results. I feel they will be negative.
I am feeling tired and i see mild rashes on the chest and shoulder area and some folliculitis on the chest. Please someone help to answer me... Herpes causes chest rash?
Can someone help to clarify me please?! :(
Thanks for the reply...
But i have a lesion/sore on the penis (starting stage) i never had something like this before and it's not painful also...You are telling it's no Herpes?
Sorry for asking again... i am Anxious for the past 3weeks and i am looking for some assurance and answers. The test result is going to take another 3-5days from next Monday :(
No, a lesion only arising under the protected area is not likely at all to be herpes. There is no reason here to be concerned about a herpes infection from this incident; it was low risk are there are not really aligned symptoms.
