Am i getting herpes?

I had protected sex about 4 nights ago. There is really no reason to think she has herpes. I am 20 she was about the same age. Since then ive been kinda paranoid. My groin hurts on both sides as if I pulled it. There is sometimes some mild pain kinda behind the testes. There is no rash or anything else. Should I be worried?

Thank you

just redness usually isn't a newly acquired herpes infection.

I recommend stopping the crotch watch - it just adds to your anxiety! Unless something hurts so much that you can't help but notice it or you find yourself scratching your manly bits way more than usual, no reason to look at your genitals.

Thank you so much for your quick response. I also noticed some redness on the back of the shaft towards the bottom. Its smooth and not raised, just a bit red. Can it develop into herpes? Lastly, if i did wear a condom are the chances of me getting it from this partner low?

Thank you again :)

none of these are signs of herpes. see your provider if you are concerned.

we recommend protected sex because it works :)
