can you have herpes on your hand or inner elbow?

I was diagnosed 7 years ago with genital herpes and I have only ever had that one outbreak. I am a nurse and I often feed patients without wearing gloves, i stopped doing this three years ago. I was on vacation and noticed a cluster of bumps on the plam of my hand. A few week later they showed up on my other hand. They look similar to warts, but they itch like crazy and when they pop the itching stops. The liquid is clear and it usually goes away within a week or two and scabs over. I have had this for the last three years on and off. They have been on my hands, the inner side of my elbows, and right above my left knee. What can it be? It hurts so bad and I tried going to the doctor a few times, but it is usually gone by the time the doctor can see me.

do your arm/hands symptoms sound like herpes? no they do not. it typically will not cause symptoms on that many body parts when you do happen to contract it on the hands.  certainly see a dermatologist for a proper work up to try to figure out what is going on. being in healthcare, so many things this can be including even allergic reactions to products we use on patients as well as many infections. make sure you get latex allergy testing done too.

when you were originally diagnosed as having genital herpes, what testing was done?  do you have hsv1 or hsv2?

I no longer work, i am a stay at home mom with another on the way. I did have somekind of test, but to be honest i Don't remember what i was positive for. I was almost 19 and so upset i blocked it out. I do have a latex allergy, but i always bought my own golves and made sure they were latex free. They don't show up everywere all at once. I get them on my hand for a week or two and might get them on my inter elbow 6 months later. The spots that come up on are always the same four places, but they only pop up in one spot at a time. My thumb, elbow, or knee will tingle on and off for a few days before, depending on the area were they form. Then the bumps come up and itch and are sore for a while before they start to scab and go away. I went a full year and didn't see any and then they started coming back again every couple of months. I just worry about my daughter. I try to keep the area covered just in case.

I was diagnosed with HSV-2 last year. Accidentally touched my thigh after touching affected area, and there was a bump coming out the next day.
I'm on the second recurrent outbreak, and accidentally touched my left neck, and again there was a bump coming out the next day.
Lesson learned.

i m 30yr old and found out i might be infected with herpes. i have blisters all over my Genital except anus. Doc has put me on antiviral 3xday and zovirax 6xday. I had my 1st dose on wed night and had very good night sleep. Next day I used bit again and I noticed all the blisters started opening. Yesterday Friday I was felt really burning there. Even when I don’t move. Same issue today.  All blisters are open red in color and burns like worse than hell. I want to know is this how they heal or something is going on. Right now I just decided to lay open in bed to dry all out and not irritate them by walking or wearing anything. I am worried please help.
