About herpes transmission

Halo, I have had unprotected sex with a female partner recently and she said she has tested negative for herpes etc 2 weeks ago.
However, she had many sex partners during the 2 weeks and i am wondering my chances of getting Herpes or other virus/disease is about what percentage.

Also i want to ask what is a cold sore? is it like a blister thing?

Oh and a cold sore is a blister on the mouth, usually on or around the lips, and sometimes just inside the lips.

Those are caused by herpes simplex type 1, and hsv1 can be transmitted to someone's genitals during oral sex, even if the person has no symptoms.

I have to disagree with Slacker.

Not everyone gets symptoms within a couple of weeks.  However, the chances that you got herpes from a one time encounter if she wasn't having any symptoms are pretty low.

The chance that you might have gotten chlamydia, gonorrhea or syphilis are much higher though, and you should be tested.  Condom use is great at preventing these infections.

If it's been 2 weeks and you have zero symptoms, I wouldn't worry about anything. Relax and move on. If you do have something that you are wondering about, give us the details.
