HSV2 on top of HSV1?

I have genital hsv1 only and this man I like has ghsv2. Assuming I catch his strain down below, what are the chances that I would have more symptoms than I already do? I already have some minor irritation each month but no blisters with type 1. Do you think type 2 would make me break out more or would it be asymptomatic?

how were you originally diagnosed as having hsv1 genitally?

are you being seen when you have mild symptoms for a proper exam and also testing for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally?

It's possible that I already have hsv2 I guess from somebody else. The test I took wasn't the most accurate one (not the IGG). I will get retested in a few weeks.

not likely that the minor irritation you are experiencing monthly is due to your hsv1. it just doesn't reoccur that often.

yes, if you contracted hsv2, odds are you would have recurrences more frequently. is your partner on daily suppressive therapy to lower your risk?
