Do I have herpes?

I live in twon A and my girlfried in town B. We saw each other once a month and the sex is good and repeadtedly during these times. I went to her 9 days ago. After the first night she complaint being sore but we still have various session during the weekend. This uncluded oral sex. She laughed and told me her body can feel she had a vagina.
The next week she had considerable pain even to sit or walk and to urinate. After 5 days she went to a GP. She diagnosed herpes. Antibiotics and certain white pills did not help untill the white pills prescription was doubled. Her blood tests was negative. I as result also went for a bloodtest. The results as following:

HSV type 1 & 2 IGM: Negative
HSV type 1 IgG: Positive
HSV type 2 IgG: Negative

My docter explained to me that I could not have infected her with herpes and that the cause of her pain was probably trauma.

What exactly does my test results mean: I mean there is something positive.

My doctors explanation was that I had it but I do not have it now and therefore could not have transmitted it. It's really confusing.

Just bloodtesting. I never had any blisters or sores.

you can transmit hsv1 from the oral area to the genital area through oral sex. did they do a lesion culture on your gf's genital symptoms or just the blood testing?

you are hsv1+ as most adults are.
