so im pretty sure i have caught hsv 2 ( i am also sure i already have hsv 1 but thats beside the point)... around the end of february i mutually masturbated with another guy. at one point we put our penises together and i also put mine in between his thighs for about a minute.. anyways about a month and a half after that ( about 6 or 7 weeks ago) i noticed a painful sensation in/on my penis... since then i have had one and off burning (minimal itching) and occasionally i see what appears to be shiny small scratches on the underside of my penis shaft when i pull the skin back.. they look pretty superficial (not very deep).. the pain doesnt seem to be only on that spot or worse when i touch it.. but does get worse after masturbation. i tried taking doxycyline and applying nystatin ointment, hydrocortisone, neosporin but nothing helped (however the nystatin may have been old and i may be immune to doxy cuz i took it for a while for acne).. this has been pretty consistant but worse at times. again no bumps or ulcers but sometimes what looks like shiny lines when i pull back the skin on my shaft. i am plannin on having a blood test done and was wondering if 14 weeks would be accurate (if neg).. but it will prob be positive anyways and i dont know what i'll do from there... any other sugestions??.. i dont know what to do this is making me insane and very upset ( i have already lost someone special to me because of this).... please someone help me i just want to be happy and at peace again... thank you.

thanks i will do that. any recommendation on the type/name of ointment and where to get it??

buy some new antifungal ointment too. be sure to use it 2x/day for a full week after symptoms are gone.

your right i need to do that... its just i read that herpes can look like paper cuts and these shiny lines/cuts looking things that seem more or less prominent at times seem to come and go and bother me more at times so i guess im just worried that it hasnt looked its worst when i've showed it to the providers..it never seems to stick around that long or look too horrible..  thanks again

You seem to be the only one who thinks this is due to herpes. Why not start listening to the providers who have actually seen this and accept their diagnosis instead of focusing on herpes?

I've been doing a lot research about herpes recently and I haven't come across anything like what you describe. Thats probably not herpes.  Wait for the results. Keep your head up bro.... Things will work out.

im sorry about the other post and this long one but i am despresate, depressed, and suicidal

i went to the doctor a week after the problem occured and he did a urine sample and exam and said it was fine but prescribed doxy (its possible im immune bc i took it for over a year for acne in the past)

that didnt help so i put nystatin ointment (it was about a year or so old so maybe it was inneffective) on it.. didnt help

i went to another doctor for a physical and told her about this and she said looked and said it could be in my head cuz it doenst look or sound like herpes

i went to the health clinic and got tested for hiv, chylamidia, gonorrea, syphilis ( will get the results next tuesday) but they didnt offer herpes blood testing.. but the nurse said it didnt look or sound like herpes

i will go to my doctor and request a herpes blood test (14 weeks from frotting and 7 weeks from recieving oral sex) sometime next week but i think i should wait to get my other results from the health clinic first (herpes is what i am worried it is)

im losing my mind and my life to this.. usually it burns.. sometimes it itches just a little.. sometimes i see what looks like shiny scratches when i pull the skin on the underside of my shaft back ( i AM circumcized ).. sometimes it feels ok... masturbation makes it alot worse or seem to come back..

You threw a little of everything at it instead of going to be seen and getting properly examined and diagnosed?

You need to go and be seen. This doesn't sound like herpes. sounds more like a fungal infection .
