please help!

I have this recurring problem and the doctor seemed to think it was irritation from sex or shaving.   Well I haven't shaved or had sex in over a week and it's back.  Right outside my vaginal opening on the bottom right side.  It itches and hurts from scratching it. It looks like red very tiny spots like you would get if you scratched something on your leg too hard.  The thing that concerns me the most is that it seems to be in the same spot.  I'm not sure If maybe my underwear is rubbing that same area or what it is.  Can anyone help? Also my boyfriend of over a year has no symptoms and we have had sex while I've had this so I'm thinking it's probably not herpes but I'm still worried.

If you have concerns then best to mutually test for HSV to understand both your statuses.

None as far as herpes goes.  The doctor just looked at it and said it was irritation. I have had an std screen within the last year but it didn't include herpes.

No real suspicion that a HSV infection has occurred.

What testing have you and your partner undertaken?
