Cold Sore on Valtrex
Currently, I take 500mg for suppression of genital herpes. I am wondering if while I am on this it would also prevent an oral herpes outbreak? I am not sure if I even get cold sores, however I often do get sores on the hard palate of my mouth and I wonder if they could be herpes, since they usually occur in the same location. Thank you.
Don't assume or you will certainly give someone HERPES for LIFE. You need to verify your hard palate sores with a herpes simplex virus culture.
It will help prevent cold sores as well. I doubt they are though being on the hard palate.
